When I started having problems with my eyesight at work, I was tempted to ignore the problem and move my desk closer to the clock. Unfortunately, after a few weeks, disguising my problem became impossible. I found myself struggling to follow presentations at meetings, and looking like a fool when I misread signs. After talking to my friends, I decided that it would probably be smart to visit with an eye doctor. Begrudgingly, I made an appointment. I was really nervous about visiting the eye doctor, but I found the process easy and painless. After I was fitted with new glasses, I could work confidently.
